Newton's cradle or Newton's balls, named after Sir Isaac Newton is a device that demonstrates conservation of momentum and energy.
Newton's third law states: for every force there is an equal and opposite force.
Use to demonstrate that momentum and kinetic energy are conserved.
When one sphere is swung out and released, one is 'kicked' out the other side, two when two spheres are released, an so on.
