SPECTRUM DISCHARGE TUBE SULPHUR CAPILLARY TYPE

Spectrum Discharge Tube (or Geissler Tube), capillary type, SULPHUR GAS. Colour of discharge through Sulphur vapour is bright light purple.
The tube is 15mmD, with a thinner section (typ: 50x5mm LxD) half way along the length. Gas discharge is dull, but the thin area is where the gas glows brightest.
The discharge tube mounts directly to the top surface of the IEC Spectrum Tube EHV Power Supply HL3785-001.
You may see a powdery residue inside the tube - this is common in Sulphur Tubes - It does not affect the performance of the product.
